Product Description
The sizzling new erotic tale from New York Times bestselling author Lora Leigh

Marty Mathews had always known about the secret, forbidden pleasures that the women she had grown up with enjoyed. Women whose husbands or lovers were members of the exclusive “Club,” where they took a selected “third” into their beds. And there is one man—a dangerous, forbidden man—who is part of this world and who has haunted Marty’s dreams for years. But she had been the FBI agent assigned to shadow him, making him completely off limits. . .That is until Khalid is cleared and Marty is released from her assignment. Now, all bets are off. . .

The beautiful, fierce Marty Mathews is the one woman Khalid hungers for like no other and is the one woman he dare not let himself have. His past dogs his every step and danger lurks around every corner. If he wants to keep her safe, he must stay away from her. But the power of their desire is something they cannot deny—and once Marty is his, Khalid will do whatever it takes to keep her in his bed and in his arms.

5 out of 5 stars Wow, I feel very different   September 3, 2010
Not Telling
I can't believe the reviews this story got. When I saw this book in the library, I picked it up, thinking it wouldn't be as good as her others, because I had read the reviews beforehand.

Boy, was I wrong. This book was so sexy and steamy, I had to stop a few times to take care of a little somethin' somethin'. lol

What an intense story, and great two characters. The story didn't focus on Shayne too much, and there was an unexpected action scene which was pretty dramatic, in a good way. Not too dramatic.

The story itself though, was more like a background. Marty and Khalid's relationship was really the main focus, which was a nice change. I hate when books focus more on the background story then the romance. It should be evenly divided. Though that's not the case in this book, it was still an addicting story! I couldn't put it down. I literally read it all in one day. I usually take a few days to read one book, because I read a bunch at a time. But I had to finish this one. It was unbelievably passionate and lusty.

1 out of 5 stars Did Lora Leigh REALLY Write This?   August 31, 2010

I enjoyed the Bound Hearts, series . . . until now! Lora Leigh has some downs in her writing, and she is something of a prolific writer, so one cannot expect every book to be five or four stars, or even three stars but this! I'd give this a minus five stars if possible. I hate being forced to even give it one star. I was anxiously awaiting Kahlid's story, sure it would be my favorite. So not! I wrote a letter to Lora Leigh expressing my great frustration with the inconsistent elements in the story, the lack of her usual spark, and the inexcusable publication of a rough draft that never made it through spell check or grammar check! It was painful to read this book. I offered to edit for her because she so obviously needs someone to help. I would die of embarrassment to have my name appear as the author of such an abortive story, especially when one's readers are expecting it to be at least as good as it's 10 predecessor stories. There is basically nothing good about this book. I have a difficult time believing that Lora Leigh actually wrote this. One thing is definitely certain, it never passed the eyes of an editor and if it did, that editor should move directly to the unemployment line, not pass go, etc., etc., etc. I feel like buying this book was like being taken advantage of in a "shell game".

2 out of 5 stars guilty pleasure   August 24, 2010
Very disappointed. not up to LL standards. Marty character is pathetic and tiresome. I wanted to yell "get over it" loved Kahlid in previous books. He deserved better...better story and better woman.

2 out of 5 stars Overall - hot sex, yes, but disappointing read overall   August 16, 2010

I've not read Lora Leigh before, but had heard she was good. I really got excited when I saw this book had an Arabic main character who was not portrayed as the usual one-dimensional villain. The story itself was difficult to follow and not very believable, and the gaffs such as waxed/then curls, kissing a far away body part, then in the same sentence, kissing mouth, etc were extremely annoying for a book I paid $14.99 for. The sex scenes, when they finally came around, were hot - absolutely - no disappointment there, but I sure had to wade through a lot of boring, improbably story to get to them. Also disappointing, very little in the way of culture or believability as far as Khalid's Arabness was concerned. His dialog was horribly stilted (to the max!)and with no indication of an Arabic accent or cultural influences. In fact, dialog overall was completely unappealing, boring and improbable for all the characters. Even with the cover art, it was a bit insulting that Khalid's Arabic identity was skimmed over. Could they not have put a more Arabic-looking guy on the cover?

This was an amazing read. I absolutly loved the entire series and can not wait for more to come out so i can read those. I was so engaged with the series that I read all eleven books of it in less than a week.
