Synopsis
A writer is commissioned to do a book on the seedy world of prostitution. He immediately moves into a run-down "hooker" hotel in Manhattan's Hell's Kitchen. Gradually he gets to know the pimps and prostitutes in the neighborhood. The girls' sexual escapades on the streets, in back alleys and sleazy hotels excite and fascinate him. His fascination turns to emotional involvement when he gets personally entangled with two hookers: Lori and Mary Lou. When Mary Lou is brutally murdered by one of her tricks, he realizes how dangerous "sex for money" and life on the streets can be.
